Gen. George Casey, the U.S. Army chief of staff, says that the service is getting closer to its goal of giving troops two years dwell time between deployments, the Army Times reports.
The goal is to give troops more time home with their families, as well as more time to recover from deploying to a war zone, Casey told an audience at the Association of the United States Army's Installations Symposium and Exposition in San Antonio.
