Thai troops are tightening security around a protesters' encampment in central Bangkok, Reuters reports.
Five days of clashes between the protesters and troops, sparked by the shooting of a renegade general, left 37 people dead and 266 injured, officials said.
Maj. Gen. Khattiya Sawasdipol, also known as Seh Daeng (Commander Red), died Monday after being shot in the head on Thursday. He provided military advice to the protesters.
