Authorities have charged a Colombian army major and four former soldiers with murdering three civilians in 2002, the Latin American Herald Tribune reports.
The soldiers allegedly killed three farm laborers and said they were leftist rebels who died in combat, said the Colombian Attorney General’s Office.
The alleged incident took place on Dec. 11, 2002, in the northwestern province of Antioquia, said prosecutors.
