With Troop Numbers Decreasing, Major Military Bases Will Receive CCTV, Surveillance Equipment

The military procurement agency in South Korea says it will install unmanned surveillance equipment at major military posts, reports the Yonhap news agency (Seoul).

The installation of high-definition cameras and infiltration detection equipment along barbed-wire fences at major units will begin this year and take place until 2024, said the Defense Acquisition Program Administration (DAPA) on Monday.

About US$34 million will be spent in the first phase to equip 12 units...
