Egyptian officials have announced that 292 jihadist suspects will be tried for various crimes, including plots to assassinate President Abdel-Fattah al-Sissi, reports Agence France-Presse.
The suspects, who were charged with being involved in 17 operations, were referred to a military court for being members of the ISIS-affiliate Sinai Province terrorist group, said a prosecution official on Sunday.
