The U.S. has imposed sanctions on Venezuela's state-owned gold mining company, which it says has been used by President Nicolas Maduro to enrich himself, reports the Dept. of the Treasury.
On Tuesday, Minerven and its president, Adrian Antonio Perdomo Mata, were designated by the Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC).
