Two Tanzanian military pilots were killed Tuesday when their training aircraft crashed, reports the Citizen (Dar es Salaam).
Defense officials said the FT-5 aircraft crash-landed on the Segera-Chalinze highway, nearly colliding with a truck and a bus carrying tourists.
The plane was attempting to land on the highway after developing technical problems during a training mission, said Lt. Gen. Abdurahman Shimbo, the military chief of staff.
