A central Somali town is again in the hands of Al-Shabaab fighters, reports Radio France Internationale.
Ethiopian troops and pro-government tribesmen withdrew from Elbur and evacuated residents before the town was retaken by the militants on Sunday, said locals.
Islamic sharia law will be implemented soon, an insurgent commander reportedly told residents.
The town had been an Al-Shabaab stronghold before Ethiopian and Somali troops took control two months ago.
