The flagship of the Russian Pacific Fleet left Tuesday for a month-long tour that will include a visit to Singapore, RIA Novosti reports.
The guided-missile cruiser Varyag left Vladivostok accompanied by the Fotiy Krylov salvage tug and the Pechenga tanker, said a Russian navy official.
A naval infantry unit, an air support group and a number of naval cadets are on board the cruiser.
The escort ships were part of an anti-piracy task force operating off the coast of Somalia...
