Torpedo Placed On Wanted Poster

The Taiwanese navy has offered local fishermen a reward for a training torpedo that went missing last week near the Tsoying base in southern Taiwan, reports London's Daily Telegraph.

The SUT torpedo was lost by the submarine Hai Lung during last week's exercise.

After four days of unsuccessful searching, the navy announced a reward of US$930 for the finder of the torpedo.

The same sub lost a torpedo before. That weapon was washed ashore in 2002.
