Top Naval Officer Killed On Firing Range

An Indian navy admiral died on Wednesday in an accident at a training center in Kochi (Cochin), reports the Times of India. He was killed by a round from his own 9-mm pistol, said officials.
Rear Adm. Satyendra Singh Jamwal, the chief of staff of the Southern Naval Command, was at the INS Dronacharya's small-arms firing range when the accidental firing took place.
The navy ordered an investigation into the incident.
