China's top military commander arrived in Australia last week for a week-long visit aimed at strengthening ties with Australia's military, reports the Australian.
Gen. Chen Bingde, the chief of the Chinese General Staff, met last week with Air Chief Marshal Angus Houston, Australia's top commander, Defense Secretary Ian Watt and Defense Minister John Falkner as part of the annual Australia-China Strategic Dialogue.
