Top Al-Qaida Official Killed In Raid In Ghazni Province

Afghan intelligence officials say they have killed a senior Al-Qaida official in a raid in the central Ghazni province, reports Agence France-Presse.

On Sunday, officials from the National Directorate of Security (NDS) announced the death of Husam Abd Al Rauf, also known as Abu Muhsin Al Masri.

The head of the U.S. National Counter-Terrorism Center, Chris Miller, confirmed Masri's death, calling it a setback for the terrorist group, reported Reuters.
