Tokyo To Step Up Activities In Contested S. China Sea, Defense Minister Says

Defense Minister Tomomi Inada says Japan will begin increasing its activities in the South China Sea, reports CNN.
Japan will take part in joint training patrols with the U.S. and exercises with regional navies, Inada said during a speech on Thursday at the Center for Strategic and International Studies, a think tank in Washington, D.C.
Tokyo will also continue giving military aid to countries such as Philippines and Vietnam, she said. Those nations have territorial disputes...
