Tokyo, Berlin Agree To Defense Cooperation Pact

The governments of Germany and Japan have signed an agreement to jointly develop new defense technology, reports Deutsche Welle.
The pact was signed on July 17 in Berlin, the German Defense Ministry confirmed on Sunday, noted Defense News.
This is the eighth such agreement Tokyo has signed since Prime Minister Shinzo Abe's government revised legal restrictions on the sharing of advanced military technology.
