Officials in the Defense Dept. in Canada are concerned that a proposal seeking more oversight of military intelligence operations may be hindered by budget limitations, reports the Canadian Press.
The head of defense intelligence ordered a major independent review following the conviction of a navy officer for spying for Russia, according to internal documents obtained from the service under a law applying covering access to information.
