Thaw Develops In Military Relations With U.S.

The United States and China have agreed to restore military relations with a series of high-level exchanges beginning next month, the Wall Street Journal reports.
China froze military contact with the U.S. in January following Washington's decision to sell up to US$6.4 billion in arms to Taiwan.
The Pentagon said the first meeting will take place Oct. 14-15 in Hawaii to discuss maritime security, with more meetings expected later this year.
