Test Series Skipped To Try To Keep F-35 On Schedule

The Pentagon's testing office has dropped a major operational trial in order to stay on schedule for achieving full operational capability with the F-35B Lightning II Joint Strike Fighter, reports Aviation Week & Space Technology.

The operational utility evaluation of the Block 2B software version for the jet was pulled from the schedule in April 2014 on the recommendation of the Pentagon's director of operational test and evaluation, says a recently released report.
