Terrorism, Smuggling Discussed; Accord Made With Afghanistan

Senior Afghan and Iranian officials have signed an agreement to expand national security cooperation, reports the semi-official Fars News Agency.
The memorandum of understanding was endorsed in Tehran on Tuesday after two rounds of talks between security officials within the Iran-Afghanistan Joint Security Workgroup.
Iranian Deputy Interior Minister Ali Abdollahi also announced that the two countries will conduct joint operations against drug-traffickers.
