Tensions Rise With Demonstrations, Bomb Blasts

Violence has broken out during demonstrations marking the anniversary of the 2011 uprising that ousted President Hosni Mubarak.

At least 18 were killed and around 50 injured early this week, mostly in Cairo, reported the Los Angeles Times.

One Tuesday, a car bomb explosion near a police station in Alexandria killed one person and wounded two others, reports Reuters.
