The Iranian government has accused the United States of playing a role in the disappearance of one of its nuclear scientists, Reuters reports.
The researcher, Shahram Amiri, vanished during a pilgrimage to Saudi Arabia in June. He was employed at Tehran's Malek Ashtar University.
Some Iranian reports have suggested that he worked for Iran's Atomic Energy Organization and sought asylum.
