The Afghan government voiced its displeasure with Iran over a fuel blockade that has stopped fuel tankers from entering Afghanistan for the past six weeks, the Washington Post reports.
Afghan demonstrators in Herat were seen thrown eggs and stones at the Iranian consulate on Sunday to protest Iran's blockade.
The blockade has caused prices of gasoline and winter heating fuel to rise between 35 and 60 percent across Afghanistan, said officials.
