Technician Sentenced To 13 Years For Passing Info To CIA

A Russian man has been sentenced to 13 years in prison for trying to pass classified naval information to the CIA, reports the Tass news agency (Moscow).

Yury Yeshchenko, who worked for a firm involved in the maintenance of radio-electronic systems for the Russian Northern Fleet, was sentenced by the Bryansk regional court on Friday, the Federal Security Service (FSB) said in a statement.

He pleaded guilty on Tuesday, reported Reuters.
