The European Union’s Galileo satellite navigation system has been inoperable since July 11, reports ZDnet. Galileo is the European constellation of precision navigation and timing satellites that first became operational in December 2016 as an alternative to the U.S. GPS. Of the 26 satellites currently in orbit, the European Global Navigation Satellite Systems Agency (GSA) currently lists 24 as unusable and two as in testing.
