The Israeli air force says it struck seven terrorist targets in the Gaza Strip in response to 10 mortar shells that were fired into Israeli territory on Monday, reports Haaretz.
On Tuesday, warplanes hit three tunnels in northern Gaza and one used for smuggling in the south, killing three suspected Hamas operatives, said a military spokesman.
Separately, a Kassam rocket struck a kibbutz near Ashkelon on Tuesday, injuring a 14-year-old girl.
