Talks Start On Pulling Troops From Solomon Islands

Officials from Australia and the Solomon Islands are considering the final withdrawal of Australian troops from the Pacific island nation, reports the Australian Associated Press.

Australian troops and police deployed to the Solomons in July 2003 at the invitation of Prime Minister Sir Allan Kemakeza to provide security after five years of unrest.
