Officials from Russia and Peru have been discussing potential upgrades for Peru's Russian-made T-55 tanks, reports Russia's Sputnik news agency.
The talks are aimed at modernizing the T-55 tanks, said an official of the Russian Federal Service for Military-Technical Cooperation on Friday.
There are no plans for new purchases, said the official.
Peru has more than 200 T-55 tanks, though not all are in service.
