Afghan security officials say the Taliban tricked an 8-year-old girl into carrying a bag with a bomb that was remotely detonated, reports UPI.
On Sunday, the girl was given the bag and told to walk toward a police vehicle in the remote village of Uwshi in southern Uruzgan province, police said.
The girl was the only victim of the resulting explosion, said the police chief, who added that he did not believe she knew the bag contained a bomb.
