Taliban Takes Districts In North, West

Taliban insurgents gained control of districts in Afghanistan's north and west over the weekend, reports the Stars and Stripes, citing government officials.
On Sunday, the Taliban overran Kohistan district in northern Faryab province after storming the district government headquarters, said a provincial police spokesman.
Hours later, Taliban fighters seized control of Taywara district in Afghanistan's western Ghor province, launching four attacks against that district...
