Taliban suicide bombers attacked an Afghan police base in Paktika province on Friday, the BBC reports.
One of the attackers drove an explosive-laden truck through the base's front gate, killing an officer when it was detonated, security officials said.
Three other suicide attackers in military uniform also tried to enter the base in Urgun district. They were killed after a prolonged firefight, according to police.
