Taliban Shadow Governor Killed In Kunduz Province

Afghan provincial officials say a Taliban district shadow governor was among eight insurgents killed Monday night in northern Afghanistan, Deutsche Presse-Agentur reports.
Ten other militants were detained by Afghan and coalition troops in Kunduz province's Imam Sahib district, said the district governor.
The insurgent leader, Mullah Janat Gul, was said to be atop the Taliban shadow government in the district, said NATO military officials.
