Taliban fighters have captured an army base in Afghanistan’s western Farah province, reports the Khaama Press (Afghanistan).
On Sunday night, the Taliban seized the facility in the Shewan area of the Bala Buluk district after tunnelling into it.
During the fighting, 22 Afghan security personnel, including commandos, were killed. Another four personnel were missing following the attack.
The district is now said to be under the control of the militant group.
