Afghan government forces have lost control of almost all of the central Uruzgan province, reports the Australian Broadcasting Corp.
Taliban fighters currently control five of the six districts in the province, with the final district, the provincial capital of Tarin Kot, considered contested.
The district is under significant Taliban pressure and could fall under insurgent control, experts said.
