A spokesman for the Taliban says the insurgents destroyed 24 NATO supply trucks in Helmand province, Al Jazeera (Qatar) reports. NATO denied the claim.
The trucks were carrying fuel and supplies to U.S. troops in Qalat Mousa, said a Taliban spokesman, who said the attack prompted the Americans to leave their bases in Sangin district.
