Taliban militants have attacked the German consulate in northern Afghanistan, killing at least six people and injuring about 120, say officials, as reported by the BBC.
Late on Thursday, a suicide bomber rammed an explosives-laden truck into the perimeter wall of the consulate in Mazar-i-Sharif, the capital of Balkh province. The militants then stormed the building and battled with security forces, reported Reuters.
