Taliban Leader Says His Forces Ready To Meet Kandahar Offensive

An apparent Taliban commander in Kandahar province says his fighters are ready for an upcoming coalition offensive, the Los Angeles Times reports.
The commander, who calls himself Mullawi Mohammadi, described weapons procurement and the massing of Taliban fighters in the province.
The commander also repeated the Taliban's claim of responsibility for last month's assassination of the city's deputy mayor.
