Afghan militants have killed a NATO service member in an attack outside Kabul, says the alliance, as reported by NBC News.
The attack took place Tuesday near the main military airfield of Bagram airbase, said NATO.
The identity and nationality of the service member killed were not immediately released.
NATO did not identify the militant group responsible. The Taliban claimed responsibility for the attack on its Twitter feed.
