Taliban Claim New Bomb Is Undetectable By Minesweepers

The Taliban say they have a new bomb that cannot be detected by Western minesweepers, Agence France-Presse reports.
The nickname of the alleged weapon, Omar, is derived from Mullah Mohammad Omar Mujahed, the Taliban leader who is believed to be a fugitive in Pakistan.
A spokesman for the group told AFP that each explosive device costs only $100 to make, but gave no further details.
He did say the device has already been used in attacks against Western forces.
