At least seven Afghan women and a male civilian have been killed in a Taliban roadside bomb attack, reports Agence France-Presse.
Later reports showed the death toll to be rising
A civilian vehicle hit an improvised explosive device (IED) on Wednesday in Helmand province's Musa Qala district, said the Interior Ministry.
A second explosion was reported within hours.
The ministry blamed the Taliban for the blasts.
