A senior Afghan security chief has been killed in a Taliban ambush in the northern Kunduz province, reports the Khaama Press (Afghanistan), citing Afghan authorities.
On Monday, Gen. Abdul Hai Atayi, the head of the Baghlan coordination command, was traveling from Badakhshan province to Baghlan province when his convoy was reportedly ambushed by Taliban militants.
A number of people accompanying Atayi were also reportedly killed, although exact figures were not available. ...
