The Taliban launched an attack on the headquarters of the Chardara district of the northern Kunduz province, killing at least eight police officers, reports the Middle East North Africa Financial Network. On Thursday, Taliban fighters ambushed security checkpoints around the headquarters, killing eight police officers and injuring 10, said local officials.
