A U.S. soldier was killed and two others were wounded in southern Afghanistan earlier this week, the U.S. military said on Wednesday, as reported by the Stars and Stripes.
Pfc. Hansen Kirkpatrick of Wasilla, Alaska, died of wounds received July 3 from indirect fire while conducting operations against the Taliban alongside Afghan security forces in Helmand province's Nawa district, said the Pentagon.
