Three Taliban gunmen wearing suicide vests and police uniforms attacked a United Nations guesthouse in Kabul, Afghanistan, on Wednesday, the Voice of America News reports.
Six foreign U.N. workers were killed in the assault, including one American, as were two Afghan security guards and a civilian, said security officials.
The militants stormed the building around dawn, sparking a two-hour battle. The attackers blew themselves up or were shot.
