Tactical Air Command-And-Control System Is Used In Alliance Exercise In Latvia

A new tactical air command-and-control system has been tested during a NATO exercise in Latvia.

The Deployable Air Command and Control Center's Recognized Air Picture Production Center and Sensor Fusion Post (DARS) arrived at the Lielvarde Air Base, Latvia, on Nov. 5, according to a statement from the alliance on Thursday.

The ongoing Ramstien Dust II 2015 exercise is aimed at testing the system in an operational setting before it can be deemed fully operational.
