The Iraqi air force has taken delivery of its first four T-6A trainer aircraft, reports Hawker Beechcraft, builder of the airplane.
The deal was announced at the Singapore Air Show.
Iraq has ordered 15 T-6As, with the balance to be delivered in the first and fourth quarters of 2010, company officials said.
The T-6 is a primary trainer aircraft designed to provide instruction in instrument flight procedures and basic aerial maneuvers.
