Swift Boat Starts Oil Protection Mission

The Iraqi navy has completed its first mission with a newly acquired patrol boat, reports the U.K. Ministry of Defense.
The Iraqi Swift boat, manned by British-trained sailors, conducted a patrol earlier this month of Iraqi territorial waters surrounding the Al Basra Oil Terminal.
Since 2004, the Royal Navy has been training the Iraqi sailors in Umm Qasr as part of a coalition training effort.
