A soldier who led a failed coup attempt last week in Guinea-Bissau has been arrested, say government officials cited by the Scotsman.
Pansau Ntchama was arrested Saturday outside the capital of Bissau, said officials.
The government alleges that gunmen led by Ntchama attacked a military base near the airport in Bissau, killing six soldiers.
The ex-army chief of staff, Lt. Gen. Zamora Induta, was also said to behind the coup attempt, said the spokesman.
