Supposed Taliban Leader In Negotiations Reported As Imposter

Afghan officials say that one of the men claiming to be the deputy Taliban leader, who was reportedly involved in face-to-face talks with Afghan government and NATO negotiators, was an imposter, the Guardian (U.K.) reports.

The man who said he was Mullah Akhtar Muhammad Mansour was reportedly paid a large sum of money to continue negotiations.
