The U.S. Navy's fleet of 22 Ticonderoga-class cruisers continues to suffer from cracks in the aluminum superstructure of the ships, the Navy Times reports.
Most of the cracks discovered on the ships can be repaired during regular overhauls, Navy officials said.
The cracks on the USS Port Royal are said to be the worse of the cases, forcing Navy officials to send the ship to Pearl Harbor for repairs.
