Sunni militants from Pakistan have killed 10 Iranian border guards in a attack from Pakistan, reports Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty, citing Iranian media and officials.
The border guards were shot and killed Wednesday by militants with long-range guns in Mirjaveh county in Sistan-Baluchestan province, said Iranian police.
The shooting came from Pakistan, and a statement from Iran said Islamabad "bears the ultimate responsibility."
